  • PREVENTATIVE CLEANINGS
Getting your teeth cleaned on a regular basis is the foundation of your oral health. When you receive a cleaning at Whites Creek Dental, we will floss and polish your teeth, and use a cavitron to quickly remove any tartar and plaque that has built up. Doing this regularly can prevent many dental problems before they even happen, and leave your teeth smooth and clean. We do our best to make each visit with us an enjoyable one, so you feel happy and confident coming in for regular cleanings.
  • EXAMS & X-RAYS
In addition to your regular cleanings, Dr. Foulk closely examines your teeth and gums, checking for any problems, such as caries (cavities), or inflammation. Radiographs, or x-rays, are done to give an in-depth look at your oral health. Dr. Foulk is highly trained and skilled at analyzing you oral health, and can catch any developing issues before they become too problematic. He always makes sure to give you all the information you need to make an informed decision about what treatments you can do to improve your oral health.
  • FILLINGS
We know there are some dentists who won’t give their patients local anesthetics when cleaning and filling a cavity. But here at Whites Creek Dental, we want to make you feel as relaxed as possible. Dr. Foulk takes the time to make sure you are comfortable before proceeding. Dr. Foulk also has a sharp eye for shade, color matching, and shaping the filling to your natural tooth, so looking at it, you would never know it wasn’t part of the original.
  • DENTAL CROWNS
A tooth crown is a long-lasting, artificial tooth that repairs the original tooth when it has been damaged (i.e. by large cavities, chipped tooth, cracked tooth, or discoloration). Porcelain crowns match the look of your natural teeth, so not only will no one know you have a crown, but dental crowns can even improve your smile. Dr. Foulk has an exceptional eye for detail in shaping the anatomy of the tooth crown to fit your mouth for comfort and beauty, as well as matching the color of surrounding teeth, so the new crown will perfectly match. We can also make the new crown for you in our office, so you can get a new crown the same day, without the need for a temporary.
  • ROOT CANAL THERAPY
If you have a toothache that is really bothering you, likely it is inflammation or infection in your tooth that has made it to the inner part of the tooth, called the pulp, where the nerve is. This toothache can be very painful and uncomfortable, but there is no need to fear or dread a root canal. Dr. Foulk places high priority on your comfort, and he uses a combination of local anesthetic during, and painkillers after, to make the root canal therapy as pleasant for you as possible. He will clean out the infected area, remove the nerve, and fill the pulp chamber with an inert material. Dr. Foulk usually recommends fitting a dental crown over the tooth, as this can extend the life of the tooth and prevent the need for further treatments later on.
  • TOOTH EXTRACTION & WISDOM TEETH REMOVAL
Sometimes it is necessary to remove a tooth completely. At Whites Creek Dental, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. You can request headphones and music, an eye mask, neck pillow, and blanket. Dr. Foulk is skilled at numbing the area painlessly, so you can be relaxed and serene throughout the entire process. Mal-positioned wisdom teeth can make you feel an aching in your jaw, painful shifting teeth, and constant headaches. When a wisdom tooth has erupted, Dr. Foulk will first numb the area, remove the wisdom tooth, then follow-up with recovery procedures to make sure the area heals fully and quickly. He uses a conscious sedation, which allows you or your teen to be pain and memory free.
  • PERIODONTAL (GUM) DISEASE TREATMENT
Periodontal disease, or gum disease, is an infection in the gums which can be very serious. Symptoms can include swollen, red, or tender gums. If left untreated, gum disease could lead to tooth loss, and is even a risk factor for heart and lung disease and complications with pregnancies. Dr. Foulk will personalize your treatment to resolve the problem, and help you maintain your gum health to prevent any problems in the future.
  • DENTURES, PARTIAL DENTURES, & BRIDGES"
Dentures are prosthetic teeth that can replace missing teeth, both for patients missing some of their teeth, and patients missing all teeth on the upper arch, and/or lower arch. Partial dentures are traditionally removable, but they can also be fixed, called a bridge, where the prosthetic teeth are fixed to a crown fitted over a natural tooth, anchoring the dentures in place. Dr. Foulk has a keen eye for making the prosthetic teeth blend with your natural teeth so your smile looks natural and dazzling. Your comfort is of utmost importance, and Dr. Foulk will make sure the denture feels natural and a perfect fit.
  • COMFORT MEASURES
Many people feel some level of anxiety or nervousness when going to the dentist, but we want you to know that we do everything in our power to make our patients feel comfortable and at ease. It starts with being friendly and building relationships, continues as we provide a number of amenities to assist you in feeling more at ease, and ends with Dr. Foulk’s patient care in making sure every exam and procedure is as comfortable as possible. We want to help minimize or eliminate your anxiety so you can receive necessary dental work to improve your health. Some amenities you can request are a blanket, headphones with music, an eye mask, and neck pillow. You may also request nitrous oxide (commonly known as laughing gas). See more ways we help with patient comfort.
  • TEETH WHITENING
There are many reasons that teeth can become discolored or stained, but we can help you achieve a pearly white smile using an effective and safe teeth whitening system. We will take an impression of your teeth to create a custom whitening tray to fit you perfectly. At home, you will put the whitening solution in your custom plastic retainer, wear it comfortably, and see results quickly. We know your smile is one of the first things people notice, and we can help you create a dazzling smile.
  • VENEERS
A veneer is a thin layer of material secured over a tooth’s surface. It is used to either protect a tooth with a damaged surface, or improve its appearance as well as the shape of your smile. Porcelain veneers are made in a lab out of porcelain which has some translucent qualities making it look more natural. Prepless veneers do not require the removal of any tooth enamel, but is a thin layer of porcelain added on top. It is thin, yet durable, and can last a long time. As a cosmetic dentist, Dr. Foulk can use veneers to give you the perfect, dazzling smile you’ve always wanted.
  • TEETH STRAIGHTENING WITH INVISALIGN CLEAR BRACES
Invisalign braces are clear plastic aligners that can straighten your teeth while allowing you to maintain your beautiful smile. There are no chunky metal brackets or wires, so it’s more comfortable for your mouth and gums. Plus, you can take them out to eat, clean your teeth, and even for special occasions. The Invisalign system is ideal for teens and adults who want to resolve issues such as overcrowded teeth, smile gaps, under bites, over bites, and cross bites. Invisalign may not work for all dental issues, but Dr. Foulk will be able to evaluate your current smile, where you want to take it, and make a recommendation.
  • GUM CONTOURING
If your gums are uneven, or rest too low, gum contouring surgery can reshape your gum line and make a big impact on your smile. Dr. Foulk will consult with you on what changes you want to make to your gum line, and design your new gum line. During the procedure, he will make sure you are completely comfortable by using local anesthesia. The procedure is done with a dental laser, which can remove gum tissue cleanly with minimal discomfort after the procedure is over and the anesthesia worn off. If you have any questions, call or come in for a consult, and Dr. Foulk can talk you through every step and address any concerns you may have.
